Ysgol (6/7)

Ysgol is a good sized semi-detached house to Sleep 6/7.

The cottage has been recently modernised with the disabled in mind and the ground floor is level throughout with no steps.

Ysgol has 3 bedrooms – on the ground floor 1 double and 1 twin with a large en-suite shower room/toilet suitable for the disabled. Upstairs is a family room to sleep 2/3 with 1 king-sized bed and a studio couch, and an en-suite shower room/loo. This bedroom has and a small balcony with a table and a couple of chairs where you can drink your tea and enjoy the views across the trees and the sea.

Downstairs, on the level ground floor there is large, modern kitchen/diner with a refectory table to seat up to 8, and a sunny lounge which opens out onto the front patio with its sea views, table and barbeque.

Ysgol Holiday Cottage Aberporth

Ysgol (means “school” in Welsh).

The main entrance is via a porch which gives level access from the car park and patio; the porch has hooks for your wet (?) anoraks, and a bench to take off your trainers and wellies.

Kitchen / Diner

The entrance leads through to the newly built Kitchen/Diner – this has a level floor, it is light and airy with a high open ceiling and plenty of windows so that you can watch the birds. There is a local craftsman made cedar wood refectory table to seat eight; the kitchen is fully equipped with a built in electric oven, a microwave oven, a gas hob, dishwasher and a fridge freezer; and the work tops are marble and welsh slate.

The open plan access from the kitchen leads to the Lounge Area; this has a wood burning stove, plenty of comfy seating, a TV, and a sliding door access to the main West facing patio (just right for afternoon tea and cakes in the sun).

Bedroom 1 – this area is on the ground floor and has been completely revamped. It has twin beds and plenty of wardrobe space.
Leading from the bedroom is a new fully accessible well heated bathroom with a large walk in shower and ‘high level’ WC.

Bedroom 2 – this is also on the ground floor and has a double bed, a wash basin, and a built in wardrobe.

Bedroom 3 – this is upstairs and is a large en suite “family” room with a double bed, a studio couch, a shower with WC, some easy chairs, a TV, and a small balcony to give you a view of the sea.

Bathroom – also on the ground floor there is a bathroom, with a bath with shower over, and a WC.

Outside there is a west facing patio adjacent to the lounge, another smaller patio with plantpots, and a barbeque.

Adjacent to Mor and Ysgol there is a small laundry area with washing machines and a dryer; and there is space to store your beach kit.
